Penhaligon’s Friends Strategic Plan

Penhaligon’s Friends Strategic Plan

We are delighted to be able to share our Strategic Plan!

As we looked ahead at our 30th anniversary it felt important for us to pause and reflect on where we were and consider our priorities for the next few years.

We were very fortunate to be able to work alongside an experienced volunteer from The Cranfield Trust to guide us through a comprehensive process to evaluate our current situation and our vision for the short and long term. Our senior staff, along with several Trustees worked together to consult, research, consider and develop a meaningful roadmap. We used the learning and our experience and knowledge to develop the charity’s first formal Strategic Plan.

Through 2025 we have already made some progress on identified priorities, initially through addressing staffing levels to deliver the plan. With a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator appointed, and introducing a new role of Fundraising and Communications Coordinator into the team we are in a strong position to progress our plan. We have also started delivering some focussed bereavement support directly in sixth form colleges, working collaboratively with other young people’s services here in Cornwall.

We are proud to present a summary with key points from our process and hope that this business plan will strengthen and shape our service over the next 3 years to ensure that bereaved children in Cornwall feel understood, supported and not alone.
