Change in Charity Status

Penhaligon’s Friends has now moved from Registered Charity No. 1053968 to Charitable Incorporated Organisation No. 1189323. The aims and mission of the charity remain unchanged, and Penhaligon’s Friends will continue to provide valuable support to bereaved children and young people across Cornwall in the same ways.

If you’re searching for Penhaligon’s Friends on the Charity Commission website, please note that you can click on advanced search to select ‘removed charities’ which will then find the old Penhaligons Friends Registered Charity No. 1053968.  Alternatively, you can search for the new Penhaligon’s Friends CIO No. 1189323.

Both our Impact Report and Annual Report are now available for the 2020/2021 financial year.  You can find them here.

Jayne, Colin and Joanna are dusting off their cycling shoes!

They will resume their Lands End to John o’ Groats Cycle Ride at the beginning of August to raise funds for Penhaligon’s Friends.

So far they have been interrupted by injury and the pandemic, so we hope the final leg goes smoothly and we just can’t wait to see their photos at the finish.

They have raised a fabulous £2,000 so far and hope to raise more on their final leg. Their Just Giving page is here

Thank you Jayne, Colin and Joanna ❤️

We’d love if your business would take part in the Penhaligon’s Friends Teddy Bears’ Picnic!

As I’m sure you can imagine, 2020 was a difficult year for Penhaligon’s Friends.  The usual army of enthusiastic volunteers who organise bake sales, concerts and fairs were unable to fundraise, yet the need for child bereavement support in Cornwall was still very apparent. We have continued to provide support to families and schools across the county throughout the pandemic by thinking creatively and adapting the way we work.

Now – we need your help!  By holding a Teddy Bears’ Picnic, dress down day, coffee morning or bake sale at your business or workplace you can help us to continue providing vital support in your local community.  It’s easy, just follow the 5 steps below.

We have lots of other resources available for businesses on our website here.
