Community Volunteer Toolkit
Welcome!
Welcome to the Penhaligon’s Friends Community Volunteer Toolkit. We’ve designed this as an online resource space to keep information about Penhaligon’s Friends all in one place. This information is intended to better inform our Community Volunteers about our services and impact and also to equip you with some of the key information about Penhaligon’s Friends to pass onto others in your Community Volunteer role.
We’ve included links to a comprehensive set of resources for representing Penhaligon’s Friends at talks, information stalls and more generally within communities. We hope you find the toolkit helpful, if you have any feedback, comments or suggestions please let us know.
Our office is open Monday – Friday from 9.00am – 5.00pm. Please do get in touch.
Penhaligon’s Friends Annual Report and Impact Report
Each year we produce an Annual Report and an Impact Report before our AGM. The Impact Report is a bright and visual booklet giving a short summary of the charity’s work, the families we support and our fabulous fundraisers. We always have copies printed and distribute them widely. Our Annual Report is a longer read with greater detail and full end of year accounts.
You can find both on our website here: penhaligonsfriends.org.uk/about-us/our-reports-and-impact
Penhaligon’s Friends Strategic Plan
As Penhaligon’s Friends looked ahead at our 30th Anniversary in 2025 it felt important for us to pause and reflect on where we were and consider our priorities for the next few years and develop the charity’s first formal Strategic Plan. We have produced a Strategic Plan Summary with key points from which we will strengthen and shape our service over the next 3 years to ensure that bereaved children in Cornwall feel understood, supported and not alone.
You can find it our website here: penhaligonsfriends.org.uk/penhaligons-friends-strategic-plan/
Training
We offer a range of Childhood Loss and Bereavement training for professionals, volunteers, and organisations. You can find out more on our website about Volunteer Training and Professional Training.
